Job description

The Healthcare Analytics Solutions team is seeking a dynamic, analytical, and highly motivated Sales and Marketing Intern. In this unique hybrid role-reporting directly into the Sales organization-you will serve as a critical bridge between our commercial outreach and strategic marketing initiatives.
This is not a traditional internship; it is a hands-on, high-impact opportunity to influence how we bring cutting-edge healthcare data solutions to market. You will dive deep into competitive intelligence, shape strategic account planning, and help optimize our revenue-generation processes. Whether you are conducting market research to uncover our "right to win" or shadowing live client pitches, you will gain comprehensive, real-world experience in the end-to-end commercial cycle of a leading healthcare analytics team.
Program Flexibility & Academic Partnership:
We understand that every student's academic journey is unique, which is why we offer highly flexible internship timelines. This role can be structured as a traditional summer internship or extended into a year-round engagement to help you continuously build valuable, real-world experience. Additionally, if you are seeking academic credit, have a required capstone project, or need specific deliverables to meet graduation requirements, our team is fully committed to partnering with you and your university to structure a program that fulfills those needs.
This is a remote opportunity.
Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for executing the following tasks:
Strategic Account Planning
  • Conduct in-depth market research on 5-10 targeted clients to understand their development pipelines and strategic goals.
  • Map Healthcare Analytics Solutions offerings to client pipelines to identify specific "right to win" opportunities.
  • Design and build a centralized, organized repository for storing and sharing account research across the team.

Competitive Intelligence
  • Support the setup and optimization of the new competitive intelligence platform (Contify) for the team.
  • Research and author industry trend briefs focusing on key market shifts (e.g., pricing dynamics, the evolving data ecosystem).
  • Conduct comprehensive SWOT analyses on key competitors.

Sales and Marketing Enablement Support
  • Translate competitive intelligence and market research into actionable recommendations to refine current messaging, product positioning, and sales outreach strategies.
  • Audit existing sales and marketing materials (e.g., pitch decks, one-pagers) to ensure they align with the newly developed competitive intelligence and market messaging.

Event & Lead Management
  • Maintain and update a centralized tracker for industry events and conferences, while proactively researching net-new opportunities for attendance.
  • Execute post-conference lead nurturing by conducting initial written outreach via email and LinkedIn, aiming to convert raw contacts into qualified leads.

Sales Operations & Process Improvement
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies within the team's current processes.
  • Optimize our CRM (Salesforce) with entering new data and insights.

Cross-Functional Shadowing
  • Shadow live sales discovery calls, client pitches, and marketing strategy meetings to gain firsthand experience in the end-to-end commercial process.

Campaign Analytics
  • Assist Sales and Marketing in pulling metrics and tracking the engagement rates of recent sales outreach blitzes or marketing campaigns to measure their overall effectiveness.

Qualifications
Required Work Experience:
  • Strong communications, writing and creative thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong desire to learn more about sales and marketing
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
  • Willingness to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Candidates should be technically savvy self-starters who can effectively leverage software and digital platforms to streamline research, organize data, and generate actionable commercial insights

Skills:
  • Proficient with various software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Education
  • Some College Courses Prefer two plus years of college. Prefer courses relating to Healthcare, Sales or Marketing (Preferred)
