Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Brighter Tomorrow, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing crisis de-escalation skills to effectively support individuals, particularly those in high-stress situations, as the designated Clinician of the Day.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and developing safety plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Ensuring same-day documentation of interactions with individuals at increased risk of crisis, thereby promoting swift response and proper care coordination.
- Completing critical incident reporting forms within 24 hours as required, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Providing after-hours phone support on an alternating basis to facilitate care coordination for participants outside of regular hours.
- Maintaining proactive engagement with participants to avert crises and minimize reliance on emergency services.
- Documenting crisis alerts and collaborating with county crisis services for effective coordination of care.
- Coordinating transitions between hospital or inpatient services and our program when appropriate, working directly with hospital staff to ensure smooth discharges.
This role involves working with a diverse population of clients who are experiencing various mental health challenges. You will provide support for individuals seeking assistance with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional concerns. Your work will contribute significantly to their recovery journey, enhancing their abilities to manage their mental health effectively and achieve personal goals.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Clinical Social Work from an accredited institution (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD).
- An independent license to practice in the state of Oregon, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
- Strong analytical and empathetic communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients and colleagues, particularly in crisis situations.
- The ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively in a high caseload environment while maintaining exceptional service quality.
- A passion for motivating and inspiring clients while maintaining enthusiasm in challenging circumstances.
