A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Legal Assistant to join its team in a remote, temporary-to-hire capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for long-term stability with a growing firm.

The ideal candidate MUST have prior and recent Bankruptcy Law experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage a busy workload while providing outstanding support to attorneys and clients.

SCHEDULE
  • Full-time
  • Monday through Friday
  • Fully remote
  • Temporary-to-Hire
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide administrative and legal support to bankruptcy attorneys
  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and electronically file bankruptcy pleadings and related court documents
  • Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, deadlines, and client appointments
  • Open and maintain client files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, trustees, opposing counsel, and third parties
  • Monitor case deadlines and assist with case management from inception through closing
  • Draft routine correspondence and legal documents
  • Organize electronic files and maintain accurate case records
  • Perform conflict checks and other administrative duties as needed
  • Assist with additional legal and office support projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous Florida bankruptcy law firm experience is required
  • Experience supporting attorneys in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and/or Chapter 13 matters preferred
  • Knowledge of Bankruptcy Court procedures and electronic filing
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while remaining responsive and collaborative
  • Professional, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional client service
