Job description

This position demonstrates service excellence and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with others including patients of all ages, families, community members, and employees. Operates telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls. Consistently delivers exceptional customer service to all callers and accurately connects them to where they need to go. Escalates consumer concerns across different communication channels. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, department Lead/Supervisor, and Manager. Ability to work from home requirements, must have a home office environment that is noise and distraction free and basic technical skills for setting up equipment and troubleshooting if needed. 

What You'll Be Doing:
In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, families, and the community-making a real impact every day by:

  • Operating a high-volume telephone switchboard (up to 150 calls daily)
  • Providing exceptional customer service and connecting callers to the right departments
  • Escalating concerns appropriately across communication channels
  • Communicating clearly with patients, peers, and leadership
  • Multitasking efficiently in a fast-paced, on-camera work environment

What to Expect:

  • Training: 12 weeks on-site at our Miami Contact Center (8500 SW 117 Ave Rd)
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts scheduled within our operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Remote Work: After training, you'll work from home (quiet, distraction-free environment required)
  • Compensation: $16.77 - $21.29/hour, based on experience quarterly bonus eligibility.

Degrees:

  • High School, GED or relevant experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of two years customer service experience and basic computer knowledge.
  • Good command of written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Experience preferred, but not required, with Customer Relations Management (CRM) application (i.e. 

    Salesforce) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or scheduling system.

Minimum Required Experience: Less than 1 year

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a high-volume setting
  • Basic computer skills (CRM/EMR experience like Salesforce is a plus, but not required)
  • Ability to stay professional, organized, and patient-focused at all times
