Work Arrangement 

Mariner life: 12-hour shifts on vessel [as needed based on vessel operations], meal & lodging provided. 10% Travel Offshore To and from the vessel. Works both inside and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. Meet the OEUK physical standard. Must be able to work in a drug free workplace; never under the influence of mind-altering prescriptions or non-prescription drugs, including alcohol, and other drugs of abuse.

What You'll Do 

Offshore Technician (Non-Union) is responsible for performing assigned structural and piping tasks in accordance with project drawings, field conditions, and company or client procedures. Work includes component assembly and replacement, flange and valve work, pipe spool assembly, bolting, and general maintenance, decommissioning, or fabrication on production platforms. Use appropriate tools and equipment safely, participate in job safety processes (including JSA input), and maintain reliable attendance and professional communication. Accountable for quality of workmanship, productivity, and compliance with project requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Assemble pipe, pipe fitting, pipe spools, bolt up flange connections
  • Interpret offshore drawings and specifications to plan work scope, including material take-offshore and sequencing.
  • Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials to required dimensions using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Align, fit, assemble, install, and remove piping and structural components per project requirements.
  • Perform or support joining processes and related tasks in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Verify measurements, alignment, and overall work quality prior to final completion.
  • Coordinate with crew members to ensure proper materials, tools, and equipment are available for each task.
  • Maintain productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced offshore environment.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, participate in safety observations, and promote a safe work culture.
  • Perform physically demanding work, including climbing, lifting, and working at heights and overwater.
  • Maintain accountability for workmanship, accuracy, and completion of assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret drawings to determine material requirements, layout, and sequence of work.
  • Perform material take offshore and verify cut lengths prior to fabrication or installation.
  • Measure, mark, and transfer reference points to materials using appropriate tools and instruments.
  • Cut and bevel pipe and other materials using pipe cutting and beveling equipment.
  • Align and fit components using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, pry bars, and other tools.
  • Assemble, install, and secure piping, structural components, and related equipment.
  • Perform or assist with joining processes, including welding, flame cutting, and related tasks as required.
  • Straighten, adjust, and modify materials using hand tools, torches, and mechanical equipment.
  • Grind, file, and prepare surfaces to meet fit-up and quality requirements.
  • Inspect fit-up, verify measurements, and ensure components are square and level prior to final completion.
  • Coordinate with helpers/riggers to ensure proper materials and equipment are available for each task. Assist with installation and removal of platform components such as handrails and grating.
  • Navigate offshore work environments, including frequent stair climbing and transferring to/from vessels as required.
  • Participate in safety meetings and behavioral-based safety observations.
  • Maintain quality control standards, ensuring work meets project specifications and completion requirements.
