Job description

The 3rd shift Encapsulation Operator is responsible for all activities related to the encapsulation of the product as per formula instructions.
Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
  • Operate encapsulation equipment independently as well as within a team environment
  • Clean the equipment and assist in the set-up process of the equipment
  • Build boxes for packaging of bulk items
  • Match all labels with batch records
  • Document encapsulation process information as per SOP
  • Take measurements of all the quality parameters-weight, length, visual inspection of the capsules
  • Monitor encapsulation operation periodically and report any abnormal conditions to the supervisor
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned properly for transition of product manufacturing
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • 1 year or more operating a capsule machine in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to read/write English
  • Ability to work autonomously and use resources available to complete tasks timely
  • Flexibility for overtime when needed
  • Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours
  • Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment
