Talent Acquisition Specialist

Allied Public Adjusters

Glendale, CA • Remote

$85K - $115K/yr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Retirement, PTO

Posted 9 days ago

Job description

At Allied Public Adjusters, our mission is a world where every property loss is settled truthfully and equitably. Since 1997, we've worked on behalf of policyholders to demand what's right by using technical expertise, field investigations, and uncompromising quality. We empower policyholders with the most skillful representation, while ensuring carriers have the information they need to do what's right.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist owns full-cycle recruiting for the company: filling key roles as they open, building talent pipelines ahead of future growth, and helping stand up the systems and processes the recruiting function will run on going forward. This person will also partner closely with and support our future People Operations leader as the company scales.

Responsibilities

Run Full-Cycle Recruiting

  • Manage open roles end-to-end, from job posting through offer
  • Promote roles and manage candidate flow within Greenhouse
  • Review and screen applicants for fit against role requirements
  • Coordinate and help run the interview process with hiring managers

Hunt for Harder-to-Fill Talent

  • Proactively source candidates for our hardest-to-fill roles, including Public Adjusters and director-level positions
  • Use outbound tools, including cold email and cold calling, to reach passive candidates who aren't actively applying
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified talent ahead of need for specific roles

Deliver an Excellent Candidate & Hiring Manager Experience

  • Keep candidates informed and engaged throughout the process
  • Set clear expectations with hiring managers and keep them looped in at every stage
  • Represent Allied Public Adjusters' culture and mission in every candidate interaction

Build the Recruiting Function

  • Support the buildout of Greenhouse, including workflows, scorecards, and reporting
  • Help establish and refine the metrics and processes the team will use to track recruiting performance
  • Partner with and support the future People Operations leader as systems mature

Expected Results

  • Fill open roles within expected time-to-fill targets without sacrificing candidate quality
  • Build and maintain active pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles so hiring doesn't start from zero
  • Demonstrate command of outbound recruiting: consistent, high-quality cold outreach that generates real candidate flow
  • Provide a candidate experience that reflects well on the company, regardless of outcome
  • Contribute to a Greenhouse setup and recruiting process that the broader team can rely on and scale with
  • Speak clearly to recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline volume, source effectiveness, etc.) and use them to improve the process

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting
  • Demonstrated success headhunting for harder-to-fill roles, including cold emailing and cold calling passive candidates
  • Experience recruiting in a specialized, harder-to-fill talent market
  • Experience using Greenhouse or a similar ATS
  • A track record of prioritizing both the candidate and hiring manager experience
  • Able to speak to the recruiting metrics and processes you've built or used in past roles
  • Experience recruiting for insurance or other licensed/credentialed professional roles is a plus.
  • Comfortable working West Coast business hours

Logistics

  • Location: Fully remote
  • Hours/Schedule: 9-6 PST

Salary

  • Base Salary: $85,000–$115,000 (based on experience) + performance-based bonus

Benefits

  • 401(k) with 3% non-elective contribution
  • Health and dental insurance options
  • Generous paid holidays and paid time-off policy
  • Career advancement and professional development opportunities

Our Core Values: We Show Up with G.R.I.T.

  • Go-Getters: We pursue truth and fairness with rigor and expertise. We are proactive, responsive, and committed to professional service.
  • Relationship Builders: We nurture relationships based on mutual respect, challenging insurers when we must and helping them when we can, all in the spirit of resolving claim matters fairly.
  • Intelligent Experts: We work to achieve mastery of our respective crafts, trusting our teammates to do the same. By focusing on core competencies, we create a team stronger than the sum of its parts.
  • Truth Champions: We pursue truth above all else. To champion our clients' interests most effectively, we seek precisely what is owed, nothing more, and absolutely nothing less.
