Job description

ABOUT WE ARE ROSIE

By advocating for remote work, inclusion, and flexibility, We Are Rosie has changed how big brands build their marketing teams and unlocked thousands of opportunities for marketers, especially those marginalized by how work traditionally happened. From our start as a team of three based in Atlanta, We Are Rosie has cultivated a community of 35,000+ marketers spread across North America dedicated to solving real brand challenges, without the retainers, unnecessary layers, or wasted time of traditional models.

THE ROLE

The People & Operations Coordinator is a part-time (20 hrs/week) role that provides hands-on support across both our People & Culture function and our Rosie Operations team. You'll work directly alongside our Head of People & Culture and our Rosie Operations Lead, helping execute the day-to-day work that keeps our team running smoothly and our Rosies feeling supported.

This is a mid-level role — you'll bring enough experience to work independently and exercise sound judgment, while operating as an executor rather than a strategic lead. You're someone who is equally comfortable diving into a hiring/onboarding process and drafting an employee communication, and you move between detail-oriented admin tasks and people-facing work without missing a beat. This is a position that can work from anywhere within the United States and will report directly to the Head of People and Culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Rosie Operations Support (~50%)

Working alongside our Rosie Operations Lead, you will:

  • Assist with Rosie onboarding and offboarding coordination — tracking paperwork, background checks, and client-required documentation to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Maintain data integrity across HR and operations systems, keeping records current and auditable
  • Help document and update process workflows to support operational efficiency and knowledge transfer
  • Serve as a first point of contact for routine Rosie inquiries, routing complex issues to the Operations Lead with appropriate context
  • Support communicating process changes and updates in a clear and helpful manner to our Rosie network
  • Track and log vendor issues and service gaps to support escalation and remediation efforts

People & Culture Support (~50%)

Working alongside our Head of People & Culture, you will:

  • Support recruiting coordination as needed — scheduling interviews, tracking candidate pipelines, and coordinating hiring manager communications
  • Support planning and execution of employee engagement and culture programming
  • Assist with DEIB initiatives, including research, scheduling, and tracking action items
  • Support the logistics of performance review cycles — communications, team reminders, templates, scheduling, and tracking completion
  • Draft and send internal HR communications, including announcements, reminders, and updates
  • Compile HR reporting and data as requested, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery

Requirements

if there are specific professional certifications, degrees, training, or experience required, include them here.

  • 3–5 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a closely related operations role
  • Hands-on experience with HR systems and tools (e.g., BambooHR, JustWorks, Workday, Gusto, ADP, or similar) Bonus points: Experience working with an Employer of Record
  • Strong organizational skills and a track record of managing multiple tasks and deadlines with precision
  • Clear, warm, and professional written communication — you can draft a sensitive employee message and a process doc in the same afternoon
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, figure-it-out mindset in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • High degree of discretion when handling confidential employee information
  • Experience supporting a distributed or remote workforce is a plus
  • Familiarity with the freelance or gig economy workforce model is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mind-set.
  • You align with our core values.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: Your rate of $35/hr will be paid on a bi-weekly cycle. Your expected hours are 20 per week.  This salary is W-2 and subject to deductions for taxes as required by law, as well as withholdings and adjustments reflective of benefits selections if applicable.

Benefits

Home Office: Each team member will receive $150 per quarter to use towards items related to working from home such as supplies, internet, and phone.

Vacation and Personal Time Off: You will receive Half-Day Paid Holidays (there are 13 observed throughout the year!) and 8 hours of PTO per quarter.  These PTO days will accrue, maxing at 32 hours in Q4. PTO hours do not roll over to the next year.

OUR VALUES

Treat People Like People - Seeing the value in all people’s unique lives, experiences, and perspectives is what drives us.

Start With Why - Asking “Why” makes our team curious first so we get to better solutions. When we make a decision, we take the time to explain the “Why”’ behind our actions. Transparency is clear and it’s kind.

Speak With Actions - Trust isn’t given, it’s earned. We prove our reliability and trustworthiness to each other, our clients, and our Rosies by showing up and doing what we say we will — through small interactions and big moves.

Bring Tenacity - The path isn’t always an easy one, but our team chooses to be unwavering in our goal. We’re resilient, determined, and stubborn when necessary. That’s the fire it takes to get things done.

Make it Better - From changing old processes to disrupting the marketing industry, we know there is room to make it better. We strive to find those improvements and push them to reality.
