Job description

About the Role

Regal is looking for a Regional People & Culture Business Partner who is passionate about supporting leaders, strengthening teams, and helping cinemas deliver extraordinary guest experiences.

This role is a trusted partner to the Regional Director and cinema leadership teams, helping translate business priorities into practical people strategies that drive performance, improve engagement, reduce risk, and support a positive team member experience. Whether you come from cinemas, retail, hospitality, restaurants, entertainment, or another fast-paced multi-unit environment, this role is ideal for a people leader who understands how great teams create great guest experiences.

As a Regional People & Culture Business Partner, you will provide hands-on HR partnership across a group of cinemas, supporting employee relations, leadership coaching, talent planning, compliance, change management, and employee experience. You will be part of a collaborative People & Culture team focused on consistent processes, scalable solutions, and strong partnerships with field operations.

What will you be doing?

  • Serve as the primary People & Culture partner for employee relations matters across supported locations.
  • Conduct and document workplace investigations while ensuring fairness, consistency, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Advise leaders on company policies, employment practices, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with Regional Directors and cinema leaders to align people strategies with operational goals and business needs.
  • Support organizational effectiveness through workforce planning, leadership development, role clarity, and change management.
  • Champion Regal’s culture, values, and commitment to an inclusive, respectful, and engaging workplace.
  • Use employee feedback, engagement insights, and people metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with field leaders to address staffing needs, turnover trends, talent gaps, and overall team performance.
  • Coach and develop leaders in areas such as communication, accountability, engagement, employee relations, and team leadership.
  • Support talent reviews, succession planning, training initiatives, and cross-functional projects that drive business success.
                      What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who understands people, operations, and the pace of a guest-facing business. The ideal candidate may come from a cinema environment, or from another multi-unit industry such as retail, hospitality, restaurants, entertainment, fitness, grocery, or services.

You may be a strong fit if you have:

                      • Experience supporting leaders and teams across multiple locations.
                      • A background in HR, Operations, Employee Relations, Operations Leadership, or a similar business partner role.
                      • Strong judgment and the ability to balance team member advocacy with business needs.
                      • Confidence coaching leaders through complex, sensitive, or ambiguous situations.
                      • Experience using data, trends, and business insights to recommend solutions.
                      • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence leaders at different levels.
                      • A practical, hands-on approach and comfort working in a fast-paced field environment.
                      • The ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through, and stay organized.
                      • High integrity and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
                      • Flexibility to work hours that align with cinema operations when needed.

                        About you

                        • 5+ years in an HR Business Partner or similar multi-unit HR role.
                        • A strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
                        • Skilled in employee relations, organizational development, and change management.
                        • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to work flexible hours aligned with cinema operations.
                        • SHRM certification and a bachelor’s degree preferred.
