Job description

Test Analyst - Pension
Location: Remote
Salary: $80-125k
Sabot Consulting is seeking a Test Analyst to support enterprise testing initiatives for the clients' pension administration system, a MOTS solution built on the Sagitec Neospin framework. This role is responsible for ensuring high software quality across complex pension administration functionality through rigorous testing, defect management, data validation, and continuous improvement of QA standards and processes. The Test Analyst works closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and the Data Quality Technical Project Manager to support production stability, data integrity, and successful system enhancements.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and execute comprehensive test strategies covering functional, integration, system, regression, performance, load, stress, and UAT testing
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data
  • Prepare, manipulate, and reset complex test data sets to support multiple testing cycles
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation for converted legacy data and ongoing production data
  • Execute SQL/T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts to validate data integrity and investigate defects
  • Identify, document, track, and manage defects using enterprise defect management tools
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams on defect resolution
  • Support and lead UAT activities, including assisting business users with testing setup, execution, and reporting
  • Develop data manipulation scripts and reports to support testing scenarios
  • Produce technical test results, status reports, and final project documentation
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of enterprise QA standards, testing tools, and best practices
  • Provide training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to client staff

Must Have:
  • 10 years of experience in Information Technology / Information Systems with a strong focus on software testing and quality assurance
  • 5 years of experience creating comprehensive test documentation, test plans, and testing strategies
  • 5 years of experience preparing, setting, and maintaining test environments and complex test data
  • 5 years of experience using testing and defect management tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, HP ALM, or JAMA
  • 5 years analyzing test results, identifying defects, and documenting issues and resolutions
  • 3 years of experience performing data quality validation activities
  • 3 years of experience validating data converted from legacy systems
  • Hands-on experience using SQL/T-SQL for data validation, analysis, and manipulation (queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views)

Nice To Have:
  • Experience assisting business users during testing activities, including UAT support and test data preparation
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
