Job Overview:

Support strategy activities for the ITF Americas Organization, ensuring alignment of the global IT strategy within MB IT and the MBFS business. Support competitive intelligence, benchmarking analysis and special projects. Develop proposals and make recommendations to the IT Management and Financial Mgmt.  to be implemented globally by IT Executive Committee members and Senior Managers. Develop, and execute  ITF Strategy planning and drive the global realization through clear, concise deliverables and with the appropriate in time reporting/tracking.

Responsibilities:

  • STRATEGY SUPPORT. Support strategy functional activities for the ITF organization by assisting the IT Portfolio and Financial Mgmt. lead in defining and detailing the contents of the ITF strategy initiatives and work packages for the global and regional ITF areas. Work with the IT Portfolio and Financial Mgmt. lead in developing, managing and tracking the ITF strategy roadmap by working closely with the ITF leadership team and responsible strategy contacts based on ITF priorities. Provide reporting to the ITF leadership on the overall progress of the ITF strategy realization. Drive discussions with IT and business stakeholders on topics related to ITF strategy. Identity and create ITF strategy linkage points to Business, Brand partner, and Customer focused strategies. Collaborate with the ITF Strategy Transformation team on developing key messages and transporting the correct timelines, scope of the strategy and roadmap into the organization. (20%)

  • STRATEGIC PLANNING. Support facilitation, development and implementation of strategy for Daimler Financial Services IT. Engage with global and regional teams to ensure strategic alignment with business and global IT needs. Develop strategic plans and proposals working closely with the global CIO and the ITF executive team in steering the organization. Identify a continuous standard review process to assess the accuracy and validity of the strategy and engage the IT strategy lead to plan execution. (20%)

  • COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE & STRATEGIC ANALYSIS. Perform up-to-date research & analysis on key intelligence topics to enhance strategic decision-making. Study market activities to identify IT trends in relation to Daimler Financial and Mobility business. Administer data collection activities and prepare leadership communications. (10%)

  • STRATEGIC PROJECTS. Actively contribute in the execution of key DFS and Daimler IT
    strategic initiatives. Be a key contact for the ITF organization in all questions related to strategy. 
    Provide input based on global insights and experience. (10%)
  • CIO SUPPORT ACTIVITIES
    Calendar and Meeting Management
        Manage the CIO's complex schedule and priorities. 
        Coordinate meetings with senior executives, board members, regulators, vendors, and technology leaders. 
        Resolve scheduling conflicts and adjust priorities as business needs change. 
        Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and briefing documents. 
    Email and Communication Management
        Monitor and prioritize correspondence. 
        Draft emails, presentations, and executive communications. 
        Ensure timely responses to critical stakeholders. 
    Leadership Team Coordination
        Organize IT leadership meetings and offsites. 
        Track action items and follow-ups. 
        Coordinate quarterly planning sessions and annual strategy meetings.  (20%)
  • Presentation Development

    Create executive-level PowerPoint presentations.

     Summarize complex technical information for non-technical audiences.

    Support town halls and company-wide communications. 

    Department Administration

    Maintain organization charts.

    Support hiring and onboarding activities.

    Coordinate performance review cycles.

    Track training and certification programs. 

    Budget Support

    Assist with annual IT budget planning.

    Monitor spending against budgets.

    Prepare reports on technology expenditures. 

    Event Coordination

    Organize leadership meetings, retreats, and team events.

    Coordinate technology town halls and employee engagement activities.  (20%)


Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. 
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:

  • Communications Planning: 1-2 years
  • Information Technology: 2 years
  • Strategy: 1 year

Education:
High School Diploma/(GED) is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred. 


Additional Knowledge:

  • 2 years IT experience preferred with demonstration of professional success across multiple IT areas
  • Experience with strategy development preferred.
