Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Process Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team.  In this role, you will be a key contributor to driving operational excellence by completing analysis, design and documentation of financial workflows and systems.  The successful candidate will bring expertise in business process improvement and possess a strong financial acumen to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy across the organization.  This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders, driving process efficiency and supporting our commitment to high-quality financial reporting and analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze and document current-state financial processes.  Identify pain points, opportunities for efficiency as well as risk review and mitigation.
  • Design future-state financial workflows, processes, and controls that leverage technology and automation to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, leveraging financial software and other applications/tools
  • Contribute to finance transformation projects from conception to completion by evaluating problem statements and participating in solution design, testing, deployment and organizational change management activities. 
  • Assist in the tracking and reporting of key process performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of processes and identify new opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison between finance and other organizational groups to ensure systems and processes are aligned with business needs and technical capabilities.
  • Review new and updated processes to ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by staying current on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to financial process engineering.
Qualifications - Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in process documentation and design or related role.
  • Strong experience with process improvement and data governance, Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
  • Experience with process mapping tools as well as major ERP's such as SAP S/4
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
