Summary/Mission/Description:

This position will be focused on retirement processing and related activities, including client communication and reporting, cost-of-living adjustments, other benefit adjustments, calculation of the Aetna-guaranteed portion of new benefits, pre-retirement death benefits, qualified domestic relations orders, tax withholding, retiree insurance deductions and bulk annuity payment arrangements.

Job Description:

This individual must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities. Comply with all audit and control requirements adhering to established department guidelines and guarantee privacy of personal information. Lastly, this position will follow the CVS/Aetna Hybrid Work Model (Tuesday-Thursday in office; Monday and Friday remote).

To succeed, the ideal candidate will need:

  • Understanding of defined benefit pension plans, benefits, forms of annuity, contracts, and related regulations
  • Familiarity with Aetna's pension benefits system and all aspects of benefits processing and benefit calculations
  • Communication skills
  • Organizational skills in order to manage many different open responsibilities at once
  • Mathematical aptitude, adaptability, and interest in learning new business and technical functions
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness in all responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 1+ years of customer service experience working with clients, payees and clients' consultants
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Word and Excel experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with defined benefit plan concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $93,574.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
