About Express

Express is a growing healthcare organization based in Miami, Florida, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and customer service to patients obtaining a medical card with the state of Florida and Georgia. We are seeking a professional, reliable, and highly organized Remote Patient Coordinator to join our team.

This position is fully remote; however, candidates must be based in Miami Florida for in person training and available to work during Eastern Time business hours.

Position Summary

The Patient Coordinator is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a critical role in delivering an outstanding patient experience. This position requires handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, scheduling appointments, collecting payment, responding to patient inquiries, and supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey.

The ideal candidate has excellent phone skills, strong written communication abilities, reliable team player, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming patient calls in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Make outbound calls to assist patients with scheduling, follow-ups, and appointment reminders.
  • Schedule, collect payment, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Respond to patient emails, text messages, and online inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Verify patient information and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist patients with questions regarding services, appointments, and documentation requirements.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately within company systems.
  • Coordinate with manager and team members to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Meet performance goals while working independently from home.

Required Qualifications

  • Fluent English speaking and writing skills are required.
  • Excellent phone presence and communication skills.
  • Strong grammar, spelling, and professional writing abilities.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in customer service, patient coordination, healthcare administration, medical office support, or call center operations.
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working with technology and multiple software platforms.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and dedicated home office workspace.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare, Telehealth, medical office, or patient coordination experience.
  • Experience using EMR/CRM systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
