Job description

JOB SUMMARY:   We're looking for a highly motivated Operations & Logistics Manager to help build and grow two connected businesses. This isn't just a management role — it's a ground-floor opportunity to shape a division from the ground up. The primary focus is developing Lone Star Equipment's rental, hauling, and logistics operations across the El Paso market, while supporting ARM CG's construction coordination needs. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, organized, and comfortable owning results

 

EQUPMENT & HAULING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: 

 

            EQUIPMENT RENTAL OPERATIONS

  • Develop and maintain a full inventory of rentable equipment
  • Ensure all equipment is inspected, functional, and ready for rental.
  • Manage registrations, permits, insurance, contracts, and rental paperwork
  • Implement GPS tracking, security systems, and safe operating procedures
  • Coordinate scheduling, pickup, and delivery logistics

DUMP TRUCK & HAULING OPERATIONS

  • Develop and grow the dump truck hauling division
  • Build relationships with contractors, landscapers, suppliers, and construction companies
  • Secure hauling jobs for rock, sand, gravel, dirt, debris, and landscape materials
  • Identify backhaul opportunities and recurring delivery contracts
  • Coordinate scheduling, dispatching, routes, and compliance
  • Work with quarries and material yards to establish competitive pricing

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING

 

  • Develop and grow the dump truck hauling division
  • Build relationships with contractors, landscapers, suppliers, and construction companies
  • Secure hauling jobs for rock, sand, gravel, dirt, debris, and landscape materials
  • Identify backhaul opportunities and recurring delivery contracts
  • Coordinate scheduling, dispatching, routes, and compliance
  • Work with quarries and material yards to establish equipment demand

OPERATIONS COORDINATION

 

  • Coordinate material deliveries and logistics with internal project teams
  • Work with estimators, project managers, and field personnel
  • Source equipment and materials; obtain pricing and availability
  • Bridge logistics between Lone Star Equipment

STRATEGIC PLANNING

  • Identify equipment investment opportunities and analyze profitability
  • Support leadership with forecasting and operational expansion planning
  • Develop long-term strategies for equipment utilization and growth

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational & communication skills
  • Self-motivated, works independently
  • Construction, logistics, or trucking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment & hauling
  • Comfortable negotiating with vendors
  • Familiar with scheduling & dispatching
  • Basic marketing / website understanding
  • Field & remote flexible
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish).
