Business Development Account Specialist

410 Medical, based in Durham, NC, is developing and distributing innovative products that help improve resuscitation of critically ill patients. 410's products are designed to enable clinicians to more effectively and efficiently respond to patients with septic shock, hemorrhagic shock and other conditions that require controlled, rapid volume resuscitation.

As a Business Development Account Specialist, you will be responsible for generating qualified, high value leads to build a healthy pipeline for our commercial team. The ability to understand and clearly communicate product features and benefits to prospects in a clinical environment is a critical skill for success in this role. You'll drive new customer acquisition through warm and cold outreach while systematically expanding our product usage from single departments to hospital-wide standardization within existing accounts. You will also support your triangle teams by coordinating the value analysis (VAT) process, scheduling meetings, demo coordination, and account implementation and onboarding. This mission-driven position requires clinical acumen, sales expertise, and passion for improving patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate closely with designated Triangle Team(s) to achieve team goals
  • Drive revenue growth through lead generation and proactive account management
  • Gather and manage information on target accounts and contacts, including publications, priorities, unmet needs, and other relevant information to create high quality leads for outside sales teams to target
  • Conduct initial emails, calls and other correspondence with new and current contacts, including new leads from website inquiries, conferences or LinkedIn to develop new, enthusiastic leads
  • Maintain refined and prioritized target account and project lists using HubSpot
  • Conduct virtual product demonstrations to hospital staff and other HCP's
  • Coordinate remote demos and initial prospect meetings, and schedule meetings for Sales and Clinical Education team members
  • Manage lead qualification and initial account set up in HubSpot
  • Oversee the value analysis (VAT) process and support implementation needs
  • Support contract coordination and account onboarding
  • Coordinate implementation and evaluation plans for new accounts
  • Suggest and implement improvements to virtual training and demo plans
  • Drive and support lead generation from tradeshows and conferences, including pre-event outreach and post-event follow up
  • Align with marketing and company brand efforts by keeping scripts and outreach content up to date
  • Other duties as directed

Qualifications

  • 1-4+ years in healthcare sales, business development, and/or clinical practice
  • Proven B2B sales track record in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare services
  • Direct experience with cold calling, lead generation, and new business development
  • Success in account expansion within complex healthcare organizations

  • Skilled at consultative selling, overcoming objections, and navigating complex sales cycles
  • Strong clinical acumen; able to discuss fluid resuscitation, sepsis, shock, and critical care protocols with healthcare professionals
