About StrongMind
StrongMind is a remote-first education and technology company on a mission to transform learning for students, families, and educators across the country. For more than 25 years, we've partnered with schools and districts to deliver innovative, student-centered learning experiences powered by technology, compassion, and bold thinking.
We believe education should be flexible, human, and built for real life. That belief shapes how we design our products, support our partners, and work together as a team. At StrongMind, you'll find smart people doing meaningful work, a culture rooted in trust and accountability, and leaders who genuinely care about both outcomes and people.
The Team You Will Join
You'll be part of the Curriculum Development team, working closely with instructional designers, editors, media specialists, and product and engineering partners. This team is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, standards-aligned digital learning experiences for K-12 students.
The team culture is collaborative, innovative, and quality-driven, with opportunities to build new courses, improve existing content, and shape how curriculum is developed using modern tools and AI-assisted workflows.
The Difference You Will Make
In this role, your work will directly impact students and educators by creating engaging, accessible, and academically rigorous learning experiences.
You'll help design and develop curriculum that supports student mastery, aligns to standards, and reflects best practices in instruction and assessment. Your contributions will play a key role in improving student outcomes while advancing how StrongMind leverages technology and AI to scale high-quality content.
A Typical Day Looks Like
While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to:
  • Design and develop standards-aligned curriculum in Math Grades 6-12.
  • Create instructional content, learning activities, and assessments using backward design principles.
  • Leverage tools like Course Builder and AI-assisted platforms to draft, refine, and enhance content.
  • Analyze student performance data and feedback to improve and iterate on course materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including editors, designers, and product partners to refine course experiences.
  • Review and edit content to ensure quality, clarity, accessibility, and alignment with StrongMind standards.
  • This position requires availability to work core business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Arizona time, Monday through Friday.

This role balances creative content development with analytical thinking and collaboration and is well-suited for someone who enjoys building, improving, and innovating within digital learning environments.
Your Expertise Includes
We're looking for someone who brings:
  • Strong knowledge of K-12 standards and learning progressions, with expertise in Grades 6-12.
  • Content expertise in Math.
  • Experience in curriculum writing, instructional design, or educational publishing.
  • Ability to design standards-aligned instruction and assessments that support student learning.
  • Strong writing, editing, and attention to detail, with a focus on clarity and consistency.
  • Ability to analyze student performance data and apply insights to improve content.
  • Comfort using digital tools, including AI-enabled platforms, with sound judgment for quality and accuracy.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

Bonus points if you also have:
  • Experience developing online or blended learning curriculum.
  • Familiarity with accessibility frameworks such as WCAG or Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
  • Knowledge of learning math and assessment design best practices.
  • Experience working with product or engineering teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • Familiarity with multimedia or interactive content development.

A diverse and inclusive workplace fuels creativity, strengthens collaboration, and helps us build better solutions for the students, families, and communities we serve. We are committed to welcoming a broad range of talent and encouraging all qualified individuals to apply. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging and is empowered to contribute, grow, and do meaningful work.
