  • Teaching Hours: $40โ€“$70/ hourly lesson
  • Non-Teaching Hours: $20โ€“$25/hour

About This Role:

Think Academy Silicon Valley is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Part-Time Math Content Teacher to deliver high-quality mathematics instruction to Kโ€“12 students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching engaging and rigorous math lessons, supporting classroom management, monitoring student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the teacher will maintain regular communication with parents regarding student performance and learning goals, collaborate with teaching managers and staff, and contribute to student engagement and retention efforts. We are looking for educators who are passionate about helping students succeed and who can effectively build strong relationships with both students and families.


Job Responsibilities :

  • Teach assigned classes in accordance with Think Academy's curriculum and instructional standards.
  • Create an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes student success and academic growth.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student performance, learning goals, and classroom updates.
  • Implement strategies to improve student engagement, retention, and overall learning experience.
  • Collaborate with teaching managers and fellow teachers to support curriculum implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Complete required administrative and teaching-related responsibilities in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required.
  • Previous teaching, tutoring, coaching, or educational experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for education and student development.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
  • Must have reliable transportation

Work Schedule

  • Up to 30 hours per week.
  • Weekend availability is required.
  • Candidates must be available to teach weekday classes starting at 4:00 PM or later will be preferred
  • Schedule will be based on class assignments and business needs.

Compensation

  • Pay Structure :
    • Teaching Related: $40 -70 per hourly lesson
      • Description: including lesson preparation + in class time + after class homework grading, standard parent communication and etc.
    • Non -Teaching Related: $20-25 / hour
      • Description: non- regular teaching related duties, such as event proctor, student 1v1 and etc.
