Job description

Job Responsibilities Careers at DPH: Work that makes a difference. Embracing Service, Inspiring Innovation, Promoting Teamwork, Pursuing Excellence, and Advancing Equity Under limited supervision, responsible for the planning, designing, implementing, conducting, and coordinating training programs for Healthcare Quality. Develops basic training curriculum for all facility types regulated by Healthcare Quality.

Meets with training team on a routine basis to determine how training assignments will be divided. Responsible for participating in the inspection/survey process for all facilities regulated by Healthcare Quality. Serves as an in-house trainer for Healthcare Quality.

Responsible for various activities pre and post hire of new staff to Healthcare Quality to include various activities to ensure new hires are onboarded successfully. Performs other duties as assigned, including participating in disaster preparedness and responses. Designated as an essential employee, subject to duty and/or call on a 24-hour basis during an emergency.

Minimum and Additional Requirements State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate. Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application may upload an unofficial copy of the transcript as an attachment to the application.

Please note that the agency will require an official, certified copy of the transcript or diploma prior to hiring. Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Preferred Qualifications A bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, library science, or public health, and at least two (2) years training/teaching/instructional design experience.
