Job description

At NorthBay Health, the IT Project Manager III is a senior-level project manager reporting to the Director, IT Program Management. This role provides leadership for the planning and delivery of complex Healthcare IT initiatives focused on enterprise corporate systems including Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and other administrative platforms.

The IT Project Manager III leads large-scale system implementations, upgrades, optimizations, and digital transformation initiatives supporting NorthBay Health's business operations. This includes initiatives that leverage automation, data integration, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.

This individual is responsible for managing a portfolio of enterprise application projects including, but not limited to, Axiom, Oracle Cloud (HCM, Financials, and Supply Chain), and UKG, ensuring projects align with organizational strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities.

In addition to leading complex initiatives, this role provides mentorship to other project managers, supports portfolio governance activities, and helps ensure consistent project management methodologies across the IT organization. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to partner effectively with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

Compensation Structure

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1-5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

Education: 

  • Bachelors Required

  • Masters preferred.

Licensure/Certification: 

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or other relevant project management certification required.

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in project management with a minimum of 3 years experience implementing or support enterprise healthcare ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud, Workday, Infor or similar platforms. 

  • Experience with healthcare financial planning systems and enterprise workforce manage systems preferred. 

  • Must be familiar with healthcare finance, revenue cycle, supply chain, and HR operations. 

Skills: 

  • Requires excellent communication and presentation skills. 

  • Must demonstrate organizational agility and political acumen. 

  • Core competencies include strategic project portfolio oversight, complex project execution, mentorship, team leadership and stakeholder relationship management. 

Interpersonal Skills: 

  • Demonstrates the True North values. Hours of Work: 

  • Normally works eight-hour day. 

  • Hours will vary according to work demands and project requirements. 

Compensation:

  • Hourly Salary Range Min $74.92 - Max $91.03 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience) 

Work Location Requirement:

  • This position may be performed onsite or remotely; however, onsite work is preferred based on business needs.  
  • Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are able to work onsite and are located within a reasonable commuting distance.

Remote Work Eligibility:

  • This position is open to candidates located within the continental United States. Due to state-specific employment requirements and workers' compensation regulations, we are unable to support remote work arrangements in the following locations: Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
