Position Overview

The Neuroscience Psychiatric Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients, formulating individualized therapy strategies tailored to their unique needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Utilize advanced electronic medical record (EMR) systems to monitor client progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive client care, contributing insights and expertise on each client's progress and treatment plans.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to remain current with best practices and research advancements in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse client population, including individuals and families with varying degrees of mental health challenges, particularly those with limited access to traditional healthcare resources. Your expertise will be pivotal in addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and more, thereby improving the overall quality of life for your clients.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, with a proven ability to work effectively in a mental health setting.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical guidelines governing mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability in collaborative teamwork within healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with EMR software systems and relevant technology to enhance service delivery.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse is highly desirable, enabling you to provide comprehensive treatment options for clients.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary in the range of USD $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
