The Community Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and culturally competent Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth mental health assessments that take into account the cultural backgrounds and personal experiences of your clients, enabling the development of individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement targeted therapeutic interventions based on the latest research and evidence, adapting methodologies to align with the diverse cultural contexts of the patients.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, helping clients explore their mental health challenges and enhancing their coping strategies in a supportive setting.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans that address all aspects of the patients' mental health.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, equipping patients with immediate support and coping strategies.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, applicable treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Ensure thorough and accurate documentation of all client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in case conferences and cultural competency training sessions to continuously improve your skills and contribute to team discussions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will provide care to a diverse clientele, focusing on individuals from varied ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. The practice emphasizes serving minorities, immigrant groups, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring equitable access to comprehensive mental health services. You will play a crucial role in enhancing these patients' mental wellness, addressing specific challenges related to their unique cultural experiences, and advocating for their mental health needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Georgia.
  • A thorough understanding of mental health disorders, contemporary treatment methodologies, and cultural competence in a therapeutic context.
  • Demonstrated experience providing both individual and group therapy, utilizing culturally responsive and inclusive therapeutic techniques.
  • Strong crisis intervention abilities, with a calm and thoughtful demeanor in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport with diverse client populations.
  • Competency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications, essential for documentation and patient management.
  • A commitment to ethical practice, professionalism, and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Preferred Experience
