Summary
You will serve as a LEAD IT SPECIALIST (ENTARCH/APPSW) in the WAR GAMING AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT (N6) of EXPED WARFARE TRNG GRP PACIFIC.

  • You will serve as lead technical integrator and exercise developer directly supporting Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific's Wargaming, Modeling and Simulation and Information Technology Director.
  • You will lead teams to develop technical integration solutions in support of the Joint Training and Experimentation Network's Live Virtual and Constructive training program.
  • You will negotiate on issues related to the development and integration of Pacific Fleet, Navy Joint , and International Distributed Training.
  • You will work independently, guided by policy and directives established by the Department of Defense, and effected commands.
  • You will lead exercise planning teams and personnel to obtain effective, and efficient systems integration in order to conduct exercise scenarios directly supporting operations and training of units and staff.
  • You will formulate and implement long term strategies supporting Live Visual and Constructive (LVC) development and implementation by providing objectives and assignments to LVC technical and exercise development team members.
  • You will lead teams of five to ten personnel for various functions to include daily operations and facility setup in support of a training event, technical architecture design in support of a training event and objectives.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/CS Workforce position. You must obtain/maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Information System Security Management/Intermediate Proficiency level II within 12 months.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing the development of wargaming, simulation and implementation of training events for joint military operations for optimal information technology systems.
Examples of Qualifying Experience; Experience planning, coordinating, and executing unit-level training or wargaming events in collaboration with internal staff and external agencies.
Ability to develop and modify training scenarios utilizing simulation software or combat modeling concepts.
Baseline familiarity with Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training methodologies and how they support training objectives.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
