Job Summary:
Perfict Global is a leading IT consulting services provider focused on providing innovative and successful business workforce solutions to Fortune 500 companies. They are seeking a Linux System Engineer to develop and execute migration strategies from VMware to Proxmox, manage Proxmox and Linux servers, and document processes and configurations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the migration strategy from VMware to Proxmox.
• Assess current VMware infrastructure and plan for minimal disruption.
• Install and configure Proxmox VE.
• Maintain and optimize Proxmox and Linux servers.
• Integrate Proxmox with existing VMware systems during migration.
• Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Document migration processes, configurations, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Expertise in Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) and virtualization technologies.
• Extensive experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Proficient in managing Proxmox VE, including installation, configuration, and ongoing management.
• Strong understanding of monitoring tools and systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
• Experience with integrating Proxmox and VMware environments and handling VM data migration.
• Proven success in migrating from VMware to Proxmox.
• Strong troubleshooting and scripting skills (Bash, Python).
