We are currently recruiting for Manager - Quality Management.
The position of Manager of Quality Management (QM Manager) is a management position within the firm's organizational chart. The QM Manager reports directly to the firm's Quality Management Director (QM Director). The QM Manager will manage the firm's Quality Management team, which provides support services to the firm's Operational Departments and functions within the firm's Compliance Department. The Quality Management team is broken out into two separate and distinct areas: Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Key responsibilities of this team include ensuring that the firm's work product meets client, firm, and regulatory expectations and requirements as enumerated in policies and in client LSAs and alerts.
Quality Assurance involves reviewing documents for quality purposes prior to finalization. Reviews are completed for areas including but not limited to redaction, spelling and formatting, proper naming conventions of borrowers, entities, and signors, and accurate exhibit labeling.
Quality Control involves reviewing finalized documents and completed processes. Reviews are completed for areas including but not limited to timeline management, redaction errors, client-specific expectations, and designated internal key performance indicators.
The QM Manager will have direct reports within both Quality Assurance and Quality Control. These direct reports will be responsible for completing the document reviews prior to finalization and for conducting internal audits. The QM Manager will be responsible for tracking metrics within each operational department of the firm including Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, and Financial Operations, identifying trends that may signify noncompliance with client, internal, and regulatory requirements, reporting findings to firm leaders, and the overall management of internal audits from kickoff through remedial testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • With the assistance of departmental leaders, prepare job aids and daily step review templates for review and approval from your direct supervisor and utilization by the Quality Assurance Department for document reviews; keep QA job aids and templates up to date.
  • With the assistance of departmental leaders and approval from your direct supervisor, determine the proper addition of QA review steps to CaseAware.
  • With the assistance of departmental leaders, prepare audit templates and job aids for review and approval from your direct supervisor and utilization by Quality Control staff; keep job aids and templates up to date.
  • Train and manage team of Quality Assurance specialists to ensure timely and accurate completion of steps.
  • Train and manage team of Quality Control specialists to ensure timely and accurate completion of internal audits.
  • Measure departmental performance and identify areas of improvement for discussion with your direct supervisor, utilizing the results of Quality Assurance document revisions and Quality Control audits.
  • Analyze all preliminary audit findings presented for trends and takeaways.
  • Work with QM Director to prepare and present comprehensive audit reports for review and response by Operational Departments; review rebuttals and determine whether findings will stand.
  • Work with QM Director to present final audit findings and remedial requirements to Operational Departments with clear takeaways and assignments of responsibilities to departmental leaders.
  • Track operational remedial efforts to completion and conduct testing to ensure compliance going forward.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Experience working for a default firm is recommended but not required.
  • Experience managing multiple direct reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills; the position requires the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to continual change.
