Job description

Title: ServiceNow Solution Architect
Location: Remote
Duration: Long Term Contract / Open for Full-time also

As a ServiceNow Solution Architect, you will lead the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CSDM, ITAM, and custom applications, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities-
Solution Architecture & Design
Design and lead end-to-end ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM (CMDB, Service Mapping, CSDM), ITAM (HAM/SAM), and custom applications built on App Engine.
Define scalable architecture aligned with ServiceNow best practices, performance standards, and enterprise governance models.
Strategic Planning & Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with business leaders, project managers, and technical teams to define architectural vision, roadmap, and implementation strategy.
Rationalize high-level and detailed requirements to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment with platform capabilities.
Configuration, Customization & Automation
Oversee configuration and customization including workflows, Flow Designer, forms and UI policies, notifications, reports, data imports, and integrations.
Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and optimization using advanced ServiceNow features such as Flow Designer, Virtual Agent, and Predictive Intelligence.
Integration & Platform Engineering
Architect and guide integrations using REST, SOAP, OAuth2, JWT, and MID Server.
Ensure seamless interoperability with enterprise platforms such as Active Directory, LDAP, SAP, AWS, Azure, and other third-party systems.
Maintain platform integrity while optimizing CMDB structure, data quality, and service models.
Leadership & Delivery Management
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams including developers, administrators, and business analysts.
Guide teams using agile methodologies and manage large-scale ServiceNow implementations.
Review designs, configurations, and code to ensure quality, scalability, and upgrade safety.
Governance, Security & Compliance
Establish and enforce platform governance frameworks covering update sets, version control, deployments, security, and compliance.
Ensure proper access controls, data integrity, and configuration management across the platform.
Platform Optimization & Enhancements
Drive continuous improvement by reviewing performance, usability, cost efficiency, and technical debt.
Lead ServiceNow upgrades, patching, and enhancements with minimal operational impact while leveraging new platform features.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, workflows, CMDB models, integration designs, and implementation guides.
Act as a trusted advisor and ServiceNow subject matter expert for clients and internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Experience 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions.
Minimum 3 years in a lead, architect, or solution design role.
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM (CMDB, Service Mapping, CSDM), and ITAM.
Deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, architecture patterns, and best practices.
Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting including JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, and Client Scripts.
Extensive experience with ServiceNow update sets, deployment processes, and platform governance.
Strong ITIL knowledge with hands-on experience in Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management.
Certifications (Mandatory)
Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
