Our client, a leading organization in the nutritional supplement industry, is seeking an Innovation Science Manager to join their team. As an Innovation Science Manager, you will be part of the Innovation Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong curiosity, excellent collaboration skills, and a solution-oriented mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Innovation Science Manager

Location: Londonderry, NH (Remote)

Pay Range: $55-60/hr.

Shift: 1st Shift

What's the Job?

  • Lead discovery activities for strategic platforms, evaluating opportunities in early discovery phases.
  • Scout ingredients, technologies, and packaging options by attending conferences, reviewing IP lists, and engaging with suppliers to build a robust innovation pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Nutrition Science, R&D, and Packaging Engineering teams to filter and vet new ingredients and technologies for scientific validity and commercialization potential.
  • Develop comprehensive innovation briefs that include formulations, claims, sensory expectations, and packaging concepts, transitioning these to R&D for product development.
  • Partner with sourcing teams to identify and negotiate costs for new ingredients, ensuring alignment with financial targets.

What's Needed?

  • Four-year college degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related scientific field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in product development, tech scouting, or upstream innovation roles within the nutrition or supplement industry.
  • Experience in R&D product or ingredient development, with familiarity in vitamins, minerals, and dietary supplements.
  • Strong discovery skills, including asking insightful questions and understanding strategic big-picture concepts.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate complex scientific ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
