Location: Remote - This position may be performed remotely in states where the company is authorized to employ individuals.

Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is $140k - $175k, with full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $140k- $210k. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, or other incentive compensation in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan of up to a 20% Bonus Target.

Employment Logistics: 

The Industrial Engineer Senior Consultant leads strategic customer onboarding and network expansion initiatives. This role serves as the single-threaded owner responsible for coordinating cross-functional assessments, driving executive decision-making, and ensuring operational readiness for large-scale customer growth opportunities.

This position will operate at the intersection of Engineering, Operations, Sales, Technology, Finance, Transportation, and Executive Leadership, partnering directly with Sales teams, prospective customers, and senior leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, develop scalable operating models, quantify financial impacts, and determine whether proposed customer solutions can be successfully executed across the OnTrac network.

The Must-Haves: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Program Management, Operations Strategy, Supply Chain, Transportation, or Logistics
  • Experience leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives across multiple organizations
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and C-suite audiences preferred
  • Experience with network design, transportation planning, and capacity modeling preferred
  • MBA or Master's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business.

  • Strategic program ownership: Serve as the primary program owner for strategic customer onboarding and network scaling initiatives, developing and maintaining project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and decision frameworks.
  • Cross-functional leadership & governance: Lead efforts across Engineering, Operations, Transportation, Product, Technology, Finance, and Sales, while facilitating recurring stakeholder reviews, steering committees, and executive updates.
  • Customer onboarding & commercial partnership: Partner directly with Sales teams and prospective customers to evaluate onboarding requirements and scalability opportunities, serving as a key operational representative during customer discussions and assessments.
  • Growth translation & scalable frameworks: Translate customer growth projections into operational, transportation, facility, technology, and labor requirements, and develop scalable frameworks that support future expansion into additional markets.
  • Network design & operating model development: Evaluate facility throughput, labor models, dock capacity, transportation requirements, and network integration strategies; develop operating models that optimize network flow, service performance, and cost-to-serve.
  • Capacity, scalability & efficiency analysis: Conduct capacity and scalability assessments from initial customer volume through full-scale deployment, identifying opportunities to reduce touches, improve throughput, and increase network efficiency.
  • Financial analysis & business case development: Build business cases supporting onboarding decisions, including cost-to-serve models, profitability analyses, capital investment recommendations, sensitivity analyses, and growth scenario planning.
  • Executive decision support & documentation: Consolidate findings from multiple workstreams into executive-ready recommendations, present Go / No-Go recommendations to senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders, develop briefing materials and business reviews, and ensure assumptions, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans are documented and validated.
  • Continuous improvement & scalability: Establish repeatable frameworks for future onboarding evaluations, standardize processes, methodologies, and tools, and drive long-term improvements in network scalability and customer profitability.
