Director, New Business Development โ€“ Aerospace Engineering Services

Remote (Eastern United States)

Our Client is seeking a senior-level Director of New Business Development to drive growth across its Aerospace Engineering Services portfolio. This role is ideal for a strategic, results-driven business development leader with a strong background in engineering and technical services, deep industry relationships, and a proven ability to open new accounts and expand existing partnerships with Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

The successful candidate will bring a consultative, solution-based sales approach and work closely with engineering and delivery teams to deliver innovative, high-value solutions to clients.

Location: Eastern United States | Remote / Work from Home

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for engineering services within the aerospace market.
  • Leverage and expand an established network of Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to drive sustained revenue growth.
  • Define and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with the organization's aerospace engineering capabilities.
  • Lead solution-oriented sales efforts, positioning engineering design, analysis, digital engineering, and testing services to address customer challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure technical alignment and successful solution delivery.
  • Own the end-to-end sales process, including opportunity qualification, proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and deal closure.
  • Track industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to proactively identify emerging opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 8โ€“10+ years of experience in business development or sales within engineering services, preferably in aerospace and/or defense.
  • Demonstrated success selling engineering, design, or technology-driven services to Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Strong existing relationships within key aerospace accounts and a proven ability to open new doors.
  • Solid technical and commercial understanding, with the ability to translate complex engineering solutions into clear business value.
  • Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented leader who thrives in a remote environment and collaborates effectively across global teams.
  • Willingness to travel within the Eastern U.S. and internationally as required.
