• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored to elderly residents to identify care needs and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions, addressing the emotional complexities that accompany aging, such as grief, depression, and anxiety.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to create holistic care plans that enhance patient outcomes.
• Educate staff and family members on best practices for supporting the mental health and overall well-being of geriatric clients.
• Facilitate grief and loss counseling sessions for both residents and families dealing with end-of-life issues, providing emotional support through difficult transitions.
• Implement cognitive stimulation activities to enhance mental acuity and provide therapeutic interventions that foster engagement and social interaction.

The primary focus of this role is providing mental health support to elderly individuals experiencing life changes and challenges. Our clients often face issues such as loss of loved ones, coping with chronic illnesses, and navigating significant life transitions. You will work closely with an aging population that deserves respect, dignity, and personalized therapeutic care.

• A valid Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State.
• Strong understanding and additional training in geriatric mental health and age-related psychological issues.
• Demonstrated experience in providing mental health counseling services to elderly individuals with diverse backgrounds and conditions.

• Experience conducting assessments and implementing therapies specifically designed for older adults.
• Expertise in group counseling and therapeutic technique application suited to geriatric populations.
• Familiarity with digital counseling tools and telehealth methodologies to facilitate remote services effectively.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

This position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
