Job description

Job Title: HR Coordinator Location: Kalamazoo, MI Type: Contract Compensation: $24-28/hr Work Model: Hybrid

Overview Join a collaborative, people-first medical technology organization as a remote HR Coordinator supporting employees through important leave-of-absence programs. In this contract role, you'll serve as a trusted resource by administering parental leaves, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and partnering with HR teams to deliver a seamless employee experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer parental leave of absences nationally
  • Consult with employees and managers on plan provisions, eligibility, and other general inquiries related to parental leaves of absence
  • Troubleshoot and resolve both routine and complex leave issues
  • Communicate leave plans and updates to appropriate parties and prepare related materials as needed
  • Maintain accurate case documentation in a service center environment
  • Provide, review, and process leave paperwork for employees
  • Ensure employees receive proper payments while on leave
  • Interpret and escalate leave-related policies as needed
  • Collaborate with HR partners and COEs to ensure consistent communication
  • Maintain records and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment

Requirements

  • HS Diploma
  • Minimum 1 year experience administering Leaves of Absence programs
  • Preferred qualifications include 2+ years supporting customers in a fast-paced environment, an Associate or Bachelor’s degree, and previous HR, HR COE, HR Operations, or role-related experience
  • Applied knowledge of leaves/benefits laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA
