Professionals in this role work to build relationships with referral sources such as doctors, hospitals, and care facilities to generate new business for hospice organizations. They often communicate through phone, email, and virtual meetings, rather than in-person visits, to educate and inform about the benefits of hospice care. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and knowledge of hospice care services.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote hospice sales?

Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and empathetic listening skills help you connect with referral sources and families facing end-of-life care decisions. These skills and qualities are crucial for effectively educating clients, building trust, and expanding hospice service reach in a remote and sensitive sales environment.

Job description

Who is Eleos Health?
Today, more people than ever are speaking publicly about their mental health. Whether it's ourselves, our friends and family or even public figures, taking care of your behavioral health is no longer a taboo, it's vital, and it's only human.
Eleos is on a mission to help deliver the world's most effective behavioral care through data, measurement, and personalization. Or simply put, we want to give clinicians the support they need to do the important work only they can do.
What is this opportunity?
As an SDR at Eleos Health supporting our Home Health/Hospice market, you'll be responsible for both inbound and outbound lead generation and qualification efforts. You will engage with potential clients from various channels, assess their needs, and create opportunities for our sales team. Reporting to the Head of Sales Development, you'll collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure a seamless lead journey and contribute to Eleos Health's growth.
Who are you?
You're an experienced, results-driven and sales-oriented professional with proven performance and understanding of best practices. You are a believer in strategic, targeted outbound and inbound pipeline development strategies. You know how to leverage technology and use data to manage your time, qualify prospects, and drive continuous improvement. You have a passion for sales/marketing, operate with high accountability and are eager to make a positive impact in mental health care. You are flexible, adaptable, and enjoy fast-paced, high-growth environments.
How will you contribute?
Inbound Responsibilities
  • Lead Engagement: Respond promptly and professionally to inbound leads across channels, including the website, webinars, and marketing campaigns.
  • Qualify & Connect: Assess leads' needs, qualify their potential fit for Eleos solutions, and schedule meetings for Account Executives.
  • Feedback Loop: Provide actionable feedback to Marketing on lead quality and campaign performance to optimize inbound processes.

Outbound Responsibilities
  • Event Engagement: Manage and coordinate activities related to trade shows, webinars, and other events. This includes pre-event planning, working with Account Executives to identify and target high-value attendees, and ensuring timely follow-up with leads generated from these events.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Marketing team and external vendors to set up and manage event logistics, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Follow-Up Strategy: Execute post-event strategies to engage attendees through personalized outreach and nurture campaigns, turning warm leads into opportunities.
  • Prospecting: Conduct targeted research on assigned territory accounts and identify key decision-makers. Utilize a multi-touch strategy-including phone, email, and LinkedIn-to generate interest.
  • Pipeline Generation: Build and maintain a pipeline of high-priority prospects to drive top-of-funnel growth.

Collaboration & Additional Responsibilities
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with Account Executives to align on strategies and ensure smooth handoffs of qualified leads.
  • Sales Enablement: Stay current on Eleos Health's products, competitive landscape, and industry trends to effectively communicate value.
  • Peer Learning: Share insights, best practices, and feedback with team members to contribute to the overall success of the team.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1.5 years as an SDR or in a similar sales role, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the Behavioral Health, SUD, Home Health or Hospice space.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding lead generation and qualification metrics.
  • Experience engaging with warm leads, including those from events and marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), sales engagement platforms (Gong Engage), and research tools such as LinkedIn Navigator.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different personas.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and follow up effectively.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to prioritize accounts and determine the most effective outreach approach.
  • Eagerness to learn, improve, and grow within the sales organization.

This hybrid SDR role combines the best of inbound and outbound strategies, offering a comprehensive opportunity to develop your skills and drive Eleos Health's mission forward. If you have the experience, passion, and drive to excel in a high-growth environment, we'd love to hear from you!
