Job description

A boutique New York-based law firm is seeking contract litigation associates with 3+ years of experience to support its growing caseload in administrative law and guardianship matters. This is a fully remote opportunity with strong potential to convert to a permanent role.


Key Role Information

  • Remote: Work from anywhere within approved jurisdictions
  • Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday–Friday, EST business hours
  • Pay: $55–$70/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity


Key Requirements

  • Active bar admission (in good standing) in Indiana
  • 3+ years of litigation experience, ideally with exposure to guardianship, elder law, or administrative law

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Research: Analyze statutes, regulations, and case law to support litigation strategy
  • Drafting: Prepare pleadings, motions, letters, and other legal documents
  • Client Communication: Respond to client inquiries and provide updates with professionalism and clarity
  • Litigation Prep: Assist with case preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing for hearings
  • Letter Writing: Draft correspondence to courts, clients, and opposing counsel
  • Volume Work: Manage a high-volume caseload with efficiency and attention to detail
  • Discovery: Limited; this role is not discovery heavy
  • Licensed and in good standing in Indiana
  • 3+ years of litigation experience
  • Comfortable handling first-year associate-level work under the guidance of senior attorneys
  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
  • Responsive, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote setting
  • Proactive communicator who asks thoughtful questions and leverages available resources
