Position Summary

Aalis Management Consulting seeks detail-oriented and experienced Grants Management Specialists to support a Federal Government agency in processing grant applications and monitoring grant awards in accordance with federal regulations and agency guidelines, including 2 CFR 200.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting federal grant programs related to cultural heritage, education, humanities, public service, libraries, or community initiatives. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple deadlines and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and review grant applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal requirements.
  • Monitor grant awards and maintain grant documentation within electronic grant management systems.
  • Communicate with applicants regarding eligibility requirements, corrections, deadlines, and award status.
  • Track grant activities, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely processing of applications and supporting documentation.
  • Support grant administration activities in accordance with federal regulations, agency policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Review grant-related data and documentation for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
  • Utilize electronic grant management systems and proprietary databases to enter, update, and maintain records.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and grant documentation using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Participate in virtual meetings, training sessions, and collaborative activities using Microsoft Teams and related platforms.
Required QualificationsProfessional Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience processing grant applications and monitoring federal grant awards in accordance with 2 CFR 200.
  • Experience supporting federal grant-making programs related to cultural heritage, education, humanities, arts, sciences, libraries, public service, community initiatives, or Tribal programs preferred.
  • Experience working independently in a remote work environment while managing multiple deadlines.
Professional Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and process work accurately under deadlines.
  • Knowledge of federal grants administration and government grant-making processes.
  • Ability to interpret and follow federal policies, procedures, regulations, and agency guidance.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Public Administration, Library Science, Humanities, Arts, Sciences, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
Computer Skills
  • Experience using electronic grant management systems such as eGMS or similar platforms.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, and OneDrive.
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro and handling Adobe PDF files.
  • Strong data entry skills and experience working with proprietary relational databases.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Native American or Tribal grant programs and familiarity with Tribal eligibility requirements and governance structures.
  • Experience supporting federal discretionary grant programs.
  • Prior experience supporting Federal Government grant programs in a remote environment.
