Job description

Global Solutions Network (GSN), a federal government contracting firm, presents this full time, long-term position supporting GSN's customer at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This position provides a competitive salary.

Responsibilities.
Scope:
Under this task order, the contractors will independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences. The primary objective is to provide services and deliverables through performance of support services.
TASKS/SERVICES | STATEMENT OF NEED

  • Provide assistance with pre- and post-award activities, including the preparation of grant awards.
  • Assess grant applications to ascertain the allowability, allocability, reasonableness and consistency of recommended costs.
  • Respond to inquiries concerning grants management policies and procedures, status of individual awards, on a one-on-one basis.
  • Provide communication with NIH/NIGMS Program staff and NIGMS grantees.
  • Keep abreast of current and new NIH policies and procedures affecting the smooth operation of the Division of Extramural Activities, NIGMS.
  • Maintain official grant file(s); prepare electronic documents (convert to "PDF" images); upload images directly into the appropriate IMPAC II eAdditions file groups.
  • Interpret and apply business management policies, procedures and practices to grants related situations.
Requirements.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 1 to 5 years' experience as Grant Management Specialist or similar role
  • Proficiency in the following software preferred:
    • MS Office
    • QVR
    • Grant management systems
    • SharePoint
    • IMPAC II
  • Demonstrates the following skills:
    • Grants policy and regulations
    • Grant Administration
    • Grant receipt and funding tracking, drafting summary statements, price/cost analysis
    • Grants Funding Analysis
    • Knowledge of word processing (MS Word, MS Excel) and databases
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Must be able to multi-task efficiently and pay close attention to detail
