Position Summary: FXI is seeking a Sales Manager who thrives on building strong partnerships and uncovering new opportunities. Based in the Tupelo, MS area, this role focuses on retaining and growing existing accounts while proactively developing new customer relationships. The Sales Manager will serve as a key connector between customers, internal teams, and plant operations-ensuring needs are met, communication flows smoothly, and opportunities are maximized. Success in this role means elevating customer experience, expanding product knowledge in the market, and driving profitable sales growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned targets for sales volume, revenue, profitability, and strategic objectives within designated accounts.
  • Coordinate crossfunctional support-including Service, R&D, Operations, and Management-to meet account performance goals and exceed customer expectations.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on a continuous basis to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Partner closely with Operations to support customer requirements across various foam applications.
  • Leverage company tools to gather market intelligence, identify product opportunities, and contribute to the innovation pipeline.
  • Utilize the company CRM to manage territory activity, track customer interactions, and maintain accurate account information.
  • Respond to customer RFQs and information requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit required reports promptly and with attention to detail.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or communication preferred, or equivalent years of sales experience.
  • 5 - 10 years in sales, preferably manufacturing and solution based selling
  • Proven ability to grow customer accounts while enhancing overall customer service and satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and effectively manage a remote territory.
  • Excellent customer relationship management, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Must possess proficient computer skills and be capable in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Background in the Polyurethane Foam or Furniture OEMs
  • Experience utilizing a CRM (SAP preferred)
  • Strong cross-functional team skills operating in a matrix environment and drive to succeed
