Job description

Melting Refinery Technician – Join Our Team at ACC!

Are you a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment? Advanced Chemical Company (ACC) is looking for a Refining Technician who embodies our core values — safety, teamwork, enthusiasm, and integrity — while helping us deliver excellence in precious metal refining.

What You’ll Do:

  • Safely set up and operate modern induction and gas-fired melting equipment in accordance with ACC procedures, including startup, material loading, and pouring molten metal into molds or grain

  • Process and melt a variety of precious metal materials such as jewelry, manufacturing scrap, cathodes, and sponge

  • Use fluxes correctly to clean molten metal and remove contaminants

  • Collect accurate metal samples using pin sampling or other approved methods

  • Handle, clean, and finish ingots using pneumatic tools, tongs, and abrasive equipment

  • Perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting and operating material-handling equipment, while wearing required PPE in a high-heat environment

  • Accurately enter process data, complete production logs, and generate labels and barcodes

  • Support and cross-train in other production areas as business needs require

What We’re Looking For:

  • A self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with great communication and planning skills

  • Someone who’s flexible, reliable, and ready to take on a dynamic schedule

  • A true team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Must-Haves:

  • Ability to lift 50 lb bags and handle 55-gallon drums

  • Solid math and computer skills

  • Clear background check (BCI)

  • Professional, courteous communication with team members and customers

  • Good eyesight (safety is key!)

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience operating induction or gas-fired melting furnaces in a production or industrial setting

  • Hands-on work with precious metal scrap, ingots, or other high-value materials

  • Familiarity with fluxing techniques and contaminant removal during metal melting

  • Experience taking metal samples (pin sampling or similar methods) for quality control

  • Comfort working in high-heat environments while following strict PPE and safety protocols

  • Experience using pneumatic tools, tongs, or abrasive finishing equipment

  • Prior work entering production data, maintaining process logs, or generating labels/barcodes

  • Strong, consistent work history

Who You Are:
Dependable. Detail-driven. A team player who takes pride in doing things right. You believe in putting safety first, working hard, and showing respect to others.

If you’re ready to grow with a company that values people as much as precision, we want to meet you!
