• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of patients, helping to identify their needs and challenges accurately.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient.

• Manage and maintain accurate clinical records in a timely manner while adhering to confidentiality principles and legal guidelines.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, educators, and healthcare professionals, to enhance patient care.

• Provide education and ongoing support to patients and their families, helping them understand mental health dynamics and treatment processes.

• Keep current with the latest research and practices in mental health treatment, ensuring the clinic continuously offers the most effective interventions.

In this role, you will primarily work with students ranging from elementary through high school, addressing a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related concerns. Your work will involve not only direct counseling but also engaging with families to support the mental health of their children as a whole.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid LCSW license to practice in the state of Connecticut is mandatory.

• Strong foundation in solution-focused psychotherapy techniques and interventions.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective interactions with students, families, and colleagues.

• Proven problem-solving skills, particularly in crisis situations, ensuring that all patients receive the care they need promptly.

• Experience working within a school setting is highly advantageous, as well as familiarity with the unique challenges faced by students.

• Prior experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, which helps streamline documentation and patient tracking.

• Engagement in community-based initiatives or outreach programs is a plus, helping to broaden our impact within the local community.
