• Establish and cultivate rapport with clients to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and create tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and couples sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to guide treatment decisions.
• Regularly meet with clients to provide ongoing counseling and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on their progress and evolving needs.
• Conduct periodic evaluations of client progress and modify therapeutic strategies to maximize effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and refer clients to specialists when necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
• Develop and lead group therapy sessions if applicable, focusing on topics relevant to the clients' needs.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for all client interactions, treatments, and assessments in accordance with organizational policies.

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues. You will be instrumental in guiding clients towards healthier lifestyles through therapeutic techniques that address both individual and systemic factors impacting their mental health.

• A valid and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Massachusetts.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based practices tailored to clients with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
• Strong therapeutic skills, with a focus on client motivation and empowerment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.

• Experience working with diverse populations and understanding the cultural factors that influence mental health treatment.
• Specific training or experience in addiction counseling and trauma-informed care.
• Knowledge of telehealth practices and experience utilizing digital tools and platforms for therapy sessions.
