We're looking for an Area Manager to join our Food and Beverage team in California. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing people, building strong partnerships, and driving meaningful business outcomes, while bringing deep, hands-on food safety expertise to customer operations.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, support, and develop a team of roughly 5-8 sales representatives to achieve targeted total gross profit across feeder parts, technical services, and sales.
  • Partner with your team to deliver on district sales goals and budget commitments.
  • Coach and mentor others by providing clear guidance and constructive feedback to strengthen commercial, technical, and business capabilities.
  • Foster consistency by ensuring alignment with systems, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, manage costs, and continuously strengthen business processes.
  • Implement and support performance planning and development conversations.
  • Collaborate closely with key customers, large/local accounts, and Key Account Managers, with clearly defined plans and shared accountability for execution.
  • Serve as a trusted technical and commercial partner to customer QA, operations, and food safety teams-particularly within beef and poultry processing environments.

Required Technical Expertise (Mandatory)

  • This role requires practical experience within food and beverage processing environments, with strong understanding of Cleaning & Disinfection (C&D), Water Treatment, and Food Safety programs.
  • Experience with intervention applications in beef and/or poultry processing is highly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to support, position, and develop intervention solutions in collaboration with technical specialists.
