• Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations that accurately reflect clients' mental health conditions, demonstrating a keen understanding of their unique histories and needs.
• Create and implement tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, employing a variety of therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.
• Engage in ongoing collaboration with case managers and psychiatrists to provide a seamless care experience, ensuring that all aspects of a client’s treatment are communicated and managed effectively.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to clients facing acute distress, utilizing de-escalation techniques and structured safety planning.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives, including workshops and educational events, to raise awareness of mental health issues and promote the services offered by Mind Matters Counseling Center.

You will work with a broad spectrum of clients, from children and adolescents to adults of all backgrounds, each facing diverse mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our clinic is particularly focused on reaching marginalized communities, making cultural competence and sensitivity essential to your work. This role is not just about providing therapy; it’s also about advocating for and empowering clients to navigate their mental health journeys.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with clients.
• Cultural competence that allows you to work effectively with individuals from varying backgrounds, including those from different ethnicities, socioeconomic statuses, and life experiences.
• Excellent organizational skills, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.

• Experience working in community mental health settings or similar environments, familiar with the unique challenges and strengths of diverse populations.
• Prior involvement in crisis intervention or emergency mental health services.
• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care principles and their application in therapy.

• Attractive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 – 80,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
