Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with popular ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics are often required.

What does a Remote ERP do?

A typical day for a Remote ERP professional often involves collaborating virtually with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, troubleshoot system issues, and implement process improvements. You might spend time configuring ERP modules, responding to user tickets, conducting training sessions, and participating in project meetings via video calls or online platforms. Since this role is remote, strong self-management and responsive communication are key to efficiently handling tasks and aligning with project timelines. You'll also have opportunities to stay updated on the latest ERP features, which can support your professional growth and contribute to ongoing business innovation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote ERP position?

To thrive as a Remote ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) professional, you need expertise in business process analysis, ERP system implementation and management, typically supported by degrees in information systems, business, or related fields. Familiarity with leading ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, and relevant certifications like SAP Certified Application Associate or Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals, are highly valued. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently are critical soft skills for remote collaboration. These competencies ensure smooth ERP operations, effective remote teamwork, and alignment of system capabilities with business goals.

  • Analyze business processes with end users and recommend practical technology improvements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable corrective actions.
  • Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, release planning, documentation, and change control.
  • Mentor other developers and help establish standards for source control, testing, security, observability, and maintainability.
  • Balance new development with modernization of existing applications and technical debt reduction.
  • Communicate project status, risks, options, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Demonstrated experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating enterprise systems.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Git or Azure DevOps, IIS, debugging, logging, and production deployment practices.
  • Ability to review execution plans, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and make sound indexing and query-design decisions.
  • Ability to gather requirements directly from business users and convert them into supportable technical solutions.
  • Strong written communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and ownership skills.

Success Profile:

  • Practical problem solver who favors dependable, understandable solutions over unnecessary complexity.
  • Comfortable moving between application code, SQL, integration, deployment, and user support.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating closely with IT, operations, and business leadership.
  • Curious, accountable, security-minded, and committed to continuous improvement.
