As our System Vice President Revenue Cycle Access & Experience, you will strategically oversee and standardize patient access and the patient financial experience across all hospitals. This leadership role drives continuous improvement for services including scheduling, registration, financial clearance, digital access, financial assistance, Medicaid eligibility, vendor support, customer service, and point-of-service collections. You will report to national revenue cycle leadership, directly impacting our commitment to an exceptional patient journey.

Every day you will monitor and optimize the performance of access services, partnering with regional and facility leaders to ensure consistency and best practices. You will collaborate closely with corporate services, clinical teams, IT, and external vendors to achieve financial, operational, and paramount patient experience goals. Your responsibilities include establishing clear performance expectations, tracking outcomes, and ensuring compliant and consistent access processes across all revenue cycle functions.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in healthcare revenue cycle management and patient access leadership. You'll have expertise in patient registration systems, financial clearance workflows, digital health technologies, and a deep understanding of Medicaid and financial assistance programs. Your exceptional vendor management skills, commitment to healthcare compliance, and ability to drive strategic initiatives will be key to elevating the patient experience and achieving critical financial KPIs.

As a remote employee, we will provide you with the equipment needed to work from home, including a laptop, docking station, dual monitors, and accessories.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership and oversight for all front-end revenue cycle functions, including scheduling, registration, financial clearance, digital access, financial assistance, and patient collections.
  • Collaborate strategically with hospital and regional leaders to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, improving throughput, data accuracy, collections, and the patient experience.
  • Drive strategic planning for patient access and experience, sponsoring access-related technology and vendor strategies, ensuring optimal utilization and clear service level accountability.
  • Monitor performance trends, payer requirements, and access metrics to support organizational growth, new care models, and maximize yield while reducing the cost to collect.
  • Lead and mentor the Patient Access functional teams, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
  • Coordinate with digital and experience teams on key organizational initiatives, ensuring all programs meet budget targets, performance indicators, and satisfaction scores for patients and employees.

Required

  • Bachelors degree
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience in the understanding and management of healthcare revenue cycle
  • 12+ years in the healthcare industry with proven experience in a large, complex, multi-facility healthcare environment with the ability to collaborate and work with people at all levels
