Position: VDC Coordinator (Remote)
Reports to: Director of VDC

Pay Range: $42 - $55 per hour (Eligible for Overtime)

Superior is looking for a highly motivated and organized VDC Coordinator to join our fast-paced team. This fully remote position will work on a number of innovative and exciting projects in a variety of market sectors including data centers, higher education, healthcare, enterprise, and industrial projects. 

This fully remote position is open to candidates who reside in one of the following states:

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare 2D layout drawings to be used for BIM modeling or for field installation
  • Produce field installation and prefabrication drawings
  • Generate panel pull sheets with circuitry and wire information
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals
  • Coordinate and interface with the Project Management teams on submittals and discrepancies
  • Provide QA/QC reviews of installation drawings and BIM models to ensure compliance with contract documents and best construction practices
  • Support development of department BIM/Layout standards
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings and technical committee meetings

Your Expertise

  • Required: You have at least 5 years of experience as a commercial electrician, or electrical engineer
  • Required: You have experience with power distribution systems ranging from 120V/480V up to 15kV, including switchgear, panels, generators, UPS systems, raceways, and transformers
  • Required: You have experience reviewing electrical design drawings, specifications, and equipment submittals
  • Required: You have experience in healthcare, data centers, industrial, and/or higher education facilities
  • Bonus Points: You have experience with fire alarm, telecommunication, security, EPMS, and BMS
  • Bonus Points: You have experience preparing 2D layouts or installation drawings for construction job sites
  • Bonus Points: You have familiarity with the NEC and other construction industry codes and standards
  • Bonus Points: You have familiarity with modeling software such as Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
