The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. To fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. We partner with volunteers to accomplish our work. Staff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learning.
Job Summary:
The Asset Manager is part of the Marketing and Communications team under Content & Creative, responsible for the organization and management of the Society's digital ecosystem, ensuring all creative assets-photos, videos, logos, graphics, templates and branded materials- are accessible, properly tagged, and aligned to brand and accessibility standards. This role manages all internal workflows, processes and standards related to creative assets and works closely across the MarComms team to support content production that advances organizational objectives. The manager supports daily management of the Society's YouTube channel - uploading videos, archiving, updating our channel page, etc.

  • Remote - Flexible Location
  • Work is primarily performed remotely, however, when possible and necessary, teams meet in person to conduct the business of the organization and build team relationships.

Compensation | Benefits:
The estimated hiring compensation range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000. Final offers will be based on the candidate's geographic location, consider career experience, and may vary from this range due to these and other factors.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage digital asset management systems to ensure appropriately uploaded, tagged, categorized and archived

  • Develop and maintain metadata standards and taxonomy for efficient search and retrieval

  • Provide training and support to MarComms team members on best practices and collaborate closely across teams to understand asset needs

  • Continuously improve internal processes for asset requests, review and distribution

  • Responsible for developing, documenting and maintaining standards for version control, usage rights tracking and asset lifecycle/archive

  • Ensure all assets adhere to brand and accessibility standards

  • Serve as a resource to internal staff and vendors in identifying and accessing appropriate assets

  • Ensure compliance with copyright regulations, track usage rights/licensing for third party content

  • Responsible for managing the Society's YouTube channel - uploading videos, meta tagging assets, maintaining standards for titles and descriptions, and assessing performance of videos/playlists

General distribution of time
  • Workplan execution (execution of day-to-day tasks tied to a project workplan) - 70%

  • Administrative Tasks - 30%

What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years' experience in digital asset management or related creative production/operations field

  • Experience in AdobeBridge (experience in Adobe CreativeCloud a plus)

  • Deep knowledge of digital asset management platforms and best practices and creative workflows

  • Experience curating photo selects a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage projects, prioritize work, and complete tasks within timelines

  • Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and promote collaboration with others.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, both internally and appropriate for professional social media presence; strong customer service skills
