Digital Asset Manager
Marketing Services
Full-time, Exempt Regular, Pay Grade 2.3
Location: Hybrid - Adelphi, Maryland
This position is classified as "hybrid" and the work location is Adelphi, Maryland. An on-site presence is expected for meetings, summits, or events, and as needed. In accordance with UMGC Travel policy, you will be responsible for any expenses incurred from traveling, including temporary lodging, to Adelphi or locations within the DMV region.
The Digital Asset Manager is responsible for the ownership, governance, and day-to-day operation of UMGC's enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform, MediaValet, and other digital asset management tools such as Portfolio and digital sign management software. As the primary administrator of these digital asset tools for the Marketing team, the digital asset manager serves as the point of contact for the vendors and oversees the functioning of digital asset management platforms. This role serves as the system owner and subject-matter expert, ensuring digital assets are consistently ingested, governed, served to distribution channels as needed, and accessible to internal teams, agencies, and global marketing partners while supporting enrollment-driven marketing initiatives and brand integrity.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as UMGC's primary administrator and functional owner of the MediaValet DAM platform and other digital asset management systems, ensuring ongoing alignment with marketing, creative, and institutional needs.

  • Configure and maintain DAM system architecture, including metadata schemas, taxonomies, permissions, categories, workflows, and governance standards.

  • Lead asset ingestion, migration, tagging, lifecycle management, version control, and archival of image, video, and audio assets, including global digital signage content.

  • Define, document, and enforce enterprise standards for metadata, naming conventions, digital rights, usage guidelines, and asset governance.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for DAM training, support, best-practice guidance, and stakeholder enablement across internal teams, agencies, and international marketing partners.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to support DAM enhancements, integrations, platform updates, adoption tracking, and continuous process improvement.

  • Experience supporting DAM usage in complex organizations, marketing or creative operations, platform integrations, and user enablement.
  • Certifications.

Hiring Range:
$88,000.00 - $98,000.00
