Job description

Job Title: Clearance Specialist
Location: Glendale, CA - Hybrid with Fridays remote
Positions Type: Long-term Contract
Compensation: $30-$35/hour commensurate to experience
Trustpoint.One is pleased to be partnering with a globally recognized entertainment company in their search for a Clearance Specialist to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring onsite work Monday through Thursday in Glendale, California, with Friday remote flexibility. The position is expected to run for approximately one year with the potential to convert to a permanent role.
This is a highly process-driven position ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys analyzing documents and images, summarizing findings, coordinating across teams, and helping move projects through complex review and approval workflows. The ideal candidate will be organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clearance requests involving a wide range of creative and marketing assets
  • Partner closely with Business Affairs, Legal, Commercialization, and Operations teams to facilitate clearances across global territories
  • Review and analyze submissions to determine whether legal or business clearance is required
  • Conduct initial reviews using restriction charts and prior legal guidance, escalating questionable items as needed
  • Track clearance requests, approvals, comments, and deadlines across multiple projects
  • Analyze images, artwork, photography, marketing materials, and related documentation for potential legal or rights concerns
  • Summarize findings and draft written work product for attorneys, legal teams, and business stakeholders
  • Communicate legal comments, restrictions, and feedback to internal teams in a clear and user-friendly manner
  • Lead and coordinate weekly Legal/Business meetings, including preparing agendas and distributing meeting notes
  • Assist with rights management systems, databases, and related tracking processes
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements where possible
  • Support review and management of collectibles, publishing materials, and related marketing assets

  • Business Affairs clearances involving talent approvals or risk analysis
  • Legal clearances related to copyright matters
  • Intellectual property clearances involving third-party names, likenesses, and images
