Job description

Temporary Compensation Analyst
Position Summary
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Compensation Analyst to support our Human Resources team during a defined project or leave coverage period. This role is responsible for assisting with compensation analysis, market pricing, job evaluations, salary administration, and compensation-related reporting. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working with compensation data, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market pricing and compensation benchmarking using salary survey data.
  • Analyze internal and external compensation data to support pay decisions and ensure market competitiveness.
  • Assist with job evaluations and the development or maintenance of job descriptions.
  • Support salary administration activities, including new hire offers, promotions, transfers, and annual merit review processes.
  • Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and analyses for HR leadership and business partners.
  • Review employee pay data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential equity concerns.
  • Maintain compensation databases and ensure data accuracy within HRIS systems.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to provide compensation guidance and support.
  • Assist with compliance related to federal, state, and local pay regulations, including pay transparency and equal pay requirements.
  • Support special compensation projects, audits, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and compensation data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
  • Experience with compensation market survey tools (such as Mercer, Radford, WTW, or Salary.com).
  • Knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, and salary structures.
  • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
