Balance Bliss Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This full-time position allows for flexible work from home arrangements while providing much-needed services to our community at our remote community health clinic.

Our remote community health clinic fosters a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, enabling counselors to thrive in their practice and provide the best care possible to clients. While much of the service delivery occurs remotely, you will engage with a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatric professionals, case managers, and community outreach coordinators, ensuring integrated and holistic care for our clients.

• Conduct detailed assessments and evaluations in order to determine clients' mental health needs, initiating individualized treatment plans tailored to each person's unique circumstances.
• Deliver therapeutic services rooted in evidence-based practices, working with individuals, families, and groups through various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
• Work collaboratively with case managers and psychiatrists to develop coordinated care plans that address both mental and physical health needs.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and immediate support, employing techniques that stabilize clients experiencing acute distress during emergency calls or sessions.
• Engage actively in outreach programs and educational initiatives to raise awareness about mental health issues within the community, fostering a proactive approach to mental wellness.

The Mental Health Counselor position is integral in addressing the needs of diverse clients within the community. Your work will specifically empower individuals from various backgrounds who confront mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. You'll play a vital role in breaking down barriers to mental health access and offering culturally competent care.

• A current, valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in relevant fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for establishing rapport and fostering therapeutic relationships with clients.
• A strong sense of cultural competence, enabling effective collaboration with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
• Demonstrated proficiency in organizational and time-management skills to handle various administrative responsibilities, including accurate documentation and reporting.

• Experience in community health settings or with populations experiencing socio-economic challenges.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
• Background in administering therapeutic group sessions or workshops.
