This will be achieved by neighborhood canvassing, phone calls, attending meetings, and other relevant means of communication. The end goal of the Community Advocate is to inform the public, specifically BIPOC residents, about environmental equity issues, especial solar energy, weatherization, and electrification.

Requires ability to operate telephone and personal computer for extended periods of time. Walking/canvassing is required. Local travel required.

Job Responsibilities:
- Builds strong relationships with members of and leaders in the community
- Be the main point and have direct contact with the community
- Attends various meetings like community meetings, governmental meetings, school board meetings, neighborhood meetings, environmental causes meetings, etc.
- Assists with recruitment for IMPACT programs with a focus on recruitment for the Empowered! Program
- Collects community feedback and relays to appropriate IMPACT managers and directors
- Understanding of environmental issues; distributes accurate information to the community
- Informs and educates community about opportunities and programs available through IMPACT and other community organizations
- Completes and submits all required reporting forms, including hours worked, in a timely manner
- Represents Agency in a courteous and professional manner at all times
- Other duties as assigned
